Coming soon to the streets of London – the smart comfort station – which dials in to HQ and reports when it is running short of paper. Westminster City Council is paying 2.5m pounds for 15 restrooms which clean themselves and are monitored from a central depot. Made by Adshel, they operate on a standard industrial processor which allows them to be quizzed from a central controller and report any problems. Anyone trapped inside can also call for help. Adshel is now tendering for a contract in New York.
