Lateral Data, a E-Discovery technology provider, said that Smart Data Consulting, a provider of technology consulting and e-Discovery services to legal, government and corporate entities, has adopted Lateral Data’s Viewpoint all-in-one e-Discovery software as a primary service alternative for its clients.
Viewpoint will provide Smart Data clients with review capabilities to speed up the e-Discovery process through its full-spectrum approach, Lateral Data said.
Smart Data executes projects in all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), such as a full range of forensic data acquisition services, forensic analysis, advanced data processing, and key term identification.
Viewpoint enables phases of the electronic discovery process including filtering, full and advanced processing, analysis, review and production.
Viewpoint features an Outlook-style interface and can execute data processing tasks at a good speed, Lateral Data claims.
Smart Data managing partner Ed Robles said Lateral Data’s Viewpoint’s review component will let their clients utilise a broad array of advanced review features such as conceptual analysis, social network visualisation, email threading and file similarity viewing in one interface.
