Groupe Sligos SA has been expanding its presence in Spain and Germany by acquisition. In Spain, the group has taken a 70% stake in Barcelona-based Med Informatica Sligos SA, which turned over the equivalent of $9.2m in 1991. Sligos has also taken 100% ownership of Madrid-based O’Dati, whose 1991 revenues amounted to $10.1m. The two which together bring 330 staff specialising in computer-aided engineering, mainly for the banking sector, will join Spanish point-of-sale systems supplier Poli-Rub and banking systems supplier Procesa-Sligos. Together, these operations have 450 employees and account for $31m of turnover. In Germany, Sligos has just taken a 51% stake in computer sevices firm Hll GmbH, doing the equivalent of $1.1m in 1990.
