The chosen vendors include Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI, EDS, Lockheed Martin, SAIC, and SRA. A team that included Boeing, CSC, and Unisys had previously held the contract but lost out in the award process.
The six new vendors will compete for individual task orders under Encore II, which is intended to modernize the DoD’s legacy systems and integrate defense agencies onto a common IT environment. The contracts will cover a range of hardware, software, licensing, and services.
