SIR JOHN CLARK TO BE CHAIRMAN OF GEC-PLESSEY TELECOMMS

By CBR Staff Writer

The management and organisational structure for the combined company to be formed by Plessey and GEC has been agreed in reassuingly short order, and the strength of Plessey’s contribution to the equally-owned venture is recognised by the appointment of Plessey’s Sir John Clark as the first chairman of the GEC-Plessey Telecommunications Holdings that will sit atop the structure. Sir John will chair a board with equal numbers of directors from each company. Under the board will be the GEC-Plessey Telecommunications operating company, where GEC’s Richard Reynolds will be chairman and Plessey’s David Dey will be managing director.
