Making its most significant acquisition to date Sintrom Group Plc has agreement to acquire Online Group Ltd of Newbury, Berkshire for an initial UKP1m cash and up to UKP1.5m more, the balance to be paid in cash or shares, according to performance over the next three years. Online, as reported briefly (CI No 917) provides computer installation services to customers of IBM and DEC anything from cabling to installation of a complete network. The twoyearold company did UKP160,000 pretax on turnover of UKP1.4m in the year to March 1987, and Sintrom, aiming to provide a onestop service to customers, sees it as a superb fit with its expanding Sysmatic Ltd third party maintenance subsidiary.
