Simtek Corp of Colorado Springs, Colorado, says that it is producing shipments of non-volatile static random access memory products: two versions of Simtek’s 64Kbit nvSRAM have been qualified to commercial specifications and are being made available to customers; the new products use a memory cell developed by Simtek which combines high performance SRAM and electrically erasable programmable read only memory elements in each memory cell; they have with 64K-bit memory capacity and access speeds of 30nS, 35nS and 45nS; both are available in 300-mm wide 28-pin dual in-line ceramic packages; 256Kbit and 1Mbit versions are planned under a co-development programme with TRW Corp.
