SIMON-CARVES TO BE MAIN CONTRACTOR ON PLANT IN ARMENIA

Nine months after the protocol of intent for the Simon-Carves arm of Simon Engineering Plc to be the main contractor on a UKP246m plant to manufacture programmable logic controllers in Yerevan, Armenia (CI No 653), Simon-Carves now has the contract: GEC Industrial Controls will transfer its controller technology under an UKP18m subcontract, and the Soviet plant will have the capacity to produce 25,000 of the machine tool controllers a month.
