Silvar-Lisco Inc, Menlo Park, California and Philips NV have moved on to the second phase of their agreement on development of computer-aided engineering software products – developing programs to aid engineers in the design of applications specific signal processing chips – which will be used by various product groups in the Philips organisation: Silvar-Lisco will also market the applications to other potential users; the $10m project, to be done primarily at Silvar-Lisco’s Leuven, Belgium, development facility, is expected to take about three years.
