Siemens AG has agreed to pay the equivalent of $108m to Amper SA today for an 80% stake in public telecommunications equipment manufacturer Amper Elasa SA and 10% stake in Amper Datos SA, Cinco Dias reports. The original agreement was signed in May and had been due to be finalized before September 30 (CI Nos 2,925, 2,977). The agreement gives Siemens the option to buy the other 20% within three months of buying the first 80%, for another $24.8m. The original plan also included creation of a new Siemens Telecomunicaciones Espana SA to be 66% held by Siemens with Amper holding the balance, but there was no word on that.
