SIEMENS WINS $170M CONTRACT FROM PHILIPPINE LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE

Siemens AG has won a $170m contract for modern telephone exchanges from Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co: the contract covers an international digital main exchange and 27 local and transit ones; the pact – for completion in 1991, also involves training Filipino engineers.
