SIEMENS UPGRADES ITS TOP-END IBM LASER PRINTERS IN US

Siemens Information Systems’ Peripheral Systems Division yesterday added two top-end models to its IBM mainframe laser printers, with all-points addressability and support for IBM Advanced Function Printing. The 103 page per minute 2200/3 costs $189,000 with ships in the third quarter; the 2300/3 does 206ppm, and costs $283,000 from the fourth quarter. Without all-points printing they are $165,000 and $265,000 respectively.
