SIEMENS “TO TAKE 500 FUJITSU M730 MAINFRAMES”

Fujitsu Ltd resumes mainframe shipments to Siemens AG in April, and gossip in Tokyo has the West German company taking 500 of the company’s new high-end M730 processors. But it is understood that the machines will be microcoded to run Siemens’ BS2000 operating system, not MVS.
