The report in La Tribune claimed that an unnamed member of Siemens’ supervisory board said that a deal would have been too complicated to put in place.

Computer Business Review recently reported that talks had broken down over a deal to sell SBS to Atos Origin, due to the number of staff the French IT services provider would have to take on.

La Tribune also claimed that Siemens was planning to change the way it accounted for SBS in future, downgrading it from an operational division so that its figures are lumped in to other activities, which would seem at odds with the idea that Siemens wants to hold on to the operation.
