SIEMENS TELECOM GROUP EXPECTS TO RAISE REVENUE

Siemens AG’s public telecommunications networks group expects to raise revenue for the year to September 30 by 8.5% to the equivalent of $8,200m: Peter Pribilla, head of the networks group and a member of the Siemens AG board, said growth would be driven by fast-growing markets in Asia and eastern Europe – while the Asian market was expected to grow by 8% a year, Siemens wanted to boost its network sales by 12% annually, and in eastern Europe, business is planned to grow by an annual 11%, compared with total growth of between 7% and 12%.
