Siemens started in Brazil with 50 people in 2002 and the majority of this latest investment will be spent at the company’s R&D center in Manaus. This decision makes five such R&D centers for Siemens, which has facilities in Germany, Denmark, China and the United States.
Siemens puts $110m in Brazilian R&D
Siemens AG is spending $110m in Brazil on the research and development of mobile phones, consolidating its presence in Latin America. The company is reported to have said the Latin American market is "very promising", calling Brazil a driving force for the region.
