Siemens Nixdorf Informations Systeme AG said yesterday that it expects to return to profitability in the 1994-95 financial year starting in October.Management board chairman Hans-Dieter Wiedig said at Hannover that Siemens Nixdorf would achieve break-even in its operating results before restructuring and other charges in the current fiscal year. Wiedig said Siemens Nixdorf results in the five months to the end of February had improved from the same period a year earlier, with group sales at $2,420m and group incoming orders at $2,480m, but he gave no further details. Siemens Nixdorf expects group shipments to rise 3% in the full 1993-94 year and group sales to drop 4% or 5% because of a 6% reduction in prices. The company has said in the past that all its projections for operating profits – and real profits next year – depend on prices not falling too much further.
