Siemens Enterprise Communications Group has disclosed that OpenScape Office UC Application suite is now available on its HiPath 3000 converged voice system, with the ‘contact centre’ functionality.
Siemens claims that the new addition to its OpenScape Unified Communications portfolio would allow Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) to leverage unified communications (UC) to improve customer service levels.
According to the company, the OpenScape Office suite scales so that organisations of up to 384 users can access voice and conferencing services, presence, mobility, voicemail, messaging, and contact centre capabilities. With OpenScape Office suite operating on Siemens’ HiPath 3000 platform, UC can now be deployed through a software upgrade across Internet Protocol (IP), TDM and analog environments, allowing its customers migrating to UC.
OpenScape Office features include: contact centre functionality, including call routing capability; Autoattendant and Call Journal functions, reportedly designed to decrease unwanted calls; and mobility features designed to address the demands of workforce.
The company said that OpenScape Office is also available on HiPath OpenOffice ME, a UC appliance that provides a toolset to enable organisations of 20-150 workers to benefit from productivity, mobility and collaboration features that were only affordable for larger organisations in the past.
The company further said that – with features including presence awareness, conference management, Microsoft Outlook integration and mobility capabilities – HiPath OpenOffice ME could enable businesses enhance employee efficiency to deliver enhanced customer service.
