Siebel Systems has released its new front office suite, Siebel 99, which the San Mateo-based company claims is the first entirely web-based front-office suite (CI No 3,547). The Siebel 99 suite includes call center and workflow modules from Scopus Technology Inc, which Siebel bought earlier this year (CI No 3,414). The company has also included a new Field service module, designed to work on handheld computers running Windows CE, to enable remote workers to download data while on the road. Siebel 99 is available now, the basic price for the Sales Enterprise and Service Enterprise modules is $1,350 per named user.
