A major goal of the IBM-Sideware alliance is to offer a solution that can be easily deployed across multiple customer service channels, including the telephone and the Internet.
Sideware’s scalable, open system solution integrates into back-end databases and legacy systems, giving companies quick and easy access to customer information. As part of the three-year alliance, Sideware has integrated its Enterprise Interaction Suite software with IBM’s hardware and middleware – including DB2 Universal Database, WebSphere Application Server and pSeries and xSeries.
IBM and Sidware will jointly market and sell the solutions in the United States and Canada. WebSphere and DB2 will be Sideware’s primary development platforms.
The Sideware alliance is another example of IBM’s commitment to go-to-market with leading independent software companies through the PartnerWorld for Developers program. The goal is to provide developers with access to new customers and revenue opportunities through IBM’s marketing, sales and solutions resources.
