Sick launched the business-to-business e-commerce software to its 85,000 European partners last year. With the success of the European implementation, the firm rolled out the software to its US-based partners.

We were looking for a solution that could efficiently tie together disparate systems from our 43 subsidiaries and give us global visibility into partner sales activities, said Sick global eBusiness manager Joe Griep. With the Click Commerce system, we now have all Sick partners accessing one, central portal.

Click Commerce says its system enables companies to effectively manage a large, worldwide partner base so that they can shorten sales cycles and drive revenue.

Sick now has one central portal for its partner community. The portal connects order and quote processes to its internal e-catalog, which holds information for more than 100,000 products.

Through the portal, partners can order products and obtain real-time visibility into an order’s status. This visibility streamlines operations, providing self-service capabilities and delivering targeted marketing programs.
