ShoreTel, a provider of IP phone systems with fully integrated unified communications, has unveiled a new version of UC software, which supports T.38 fax integration, enhanced multisite capabilities, and extended integration to Microsoft Exchange 2007 with SIP capabilities that allow for native integration.

According to ShoreTel, the new software allows enterprises to integrate new capabilities into their legacy systems, preserving their PBX investment while providing end, users with the productivity and usability benefits.

The company said that the new version provides support for large enterprises, distributed workgroups, paging and account codes; system registration and advisory service, and mobile call manager; windows 2008 server support, including messaging integration.

In addition, the new software also provides extended SIP integration for Microsoft Exchange 2007 messaging, call manager XenApp 5.0 support, additional Symbian and Windows Mobile devices, user productivity, instant messaging response options for inbound calls including instant messaging support in the workgroup agent monitor.
