SHOPPING.COM LOOKS FOR FINANCING, RETAINS INVESTMENT BANKER

Shopping.com, an eight month-old company with an internet shopping website and a domain name to die for, has retained investment banker Waldron & Co to sort out some financing, acquisitions and eventually an initial public offering. Shopping.com does exactly what IBM Corp failed to do: run an internet-based shopping mall. IBM closed its World Avenue mall down earlier this month after just eight months.
