Shiva Corp, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of AppleTalk network products, has come out with Netbridge, a local bridge for AppleTalk local area networks. The NetBridge began shipping to dealers last week. NetBridge allows network users to expand, combine and manage their AppleTalk systems. In addition to expanding a crowded AppleTalk network, NetBridge makes it possible to connect two independent networks into one continuous internetwork. Everyone on the internetwork then has equal access to all devices on the original networks. NetBridge is being offered in the US at an introductory price of $400. Price after November 31 will be $500 – so does that mean that one can demand the introductory price on December 1 on the grounds that by Shiva’s calendar it must be November 31?
