NEC, a provider of IT and network technologies, has signed an agreement with Shiseido, to provide global deployment and operation for Shiseido’s core business IT system renovation based on SAP ERP 6.0.
Under this agreement, NEC will deploy new SAP ERP 6.0 based IT systems in Shiseido’s core business areas, including sales, logistics, manufacturing and accounting by 2013.
NEC will also establish a globally unified business process standards, data standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Shiseido.
The company said that as a member of Shiseido’s Standardisation Maintenance Team, it will provide global evaluation and verification of system alternation requests from overseas affiliates, and coordinates such requests with the relevant organisations and regions.
In addition, NEC will support Shiseido’s reconstruction project by leveraging the know-how obtained through the global execution of its internal management and process innovation for core business systems utilising SAP(R) ERP.
