Shaye Communications Ltd, Winchester, Hampshire, has been using its CT2 handset, the Forum Personal Phone, on the first Telepoint network operating outside the UK: the network in Helsinki, developed jointly by Nokia Oy and the Helsinki Telephone Company, has five base stations which are to be connnected to the public switched telephone network; the Forum Personal Phone can be used at public Telepoints to call into the national and international network if users are within 200 yards of a Telepoint station, or to make and receive calls in the home and office where a cordless telephone point is installed.
