Sharp Corp has pushed back the thin-film transistor liquid-crystal diode display panel barriers with a 28 model, claiming it to be the largest so far in the industry. It says it sees the panel being used in displays for meetings, notice boards and educational equipment. The company has also developed a low-temperature process for manufacturing the polysilicon panels which it expects to cut costs and improve quality.
