Oryx Technology Corp, Fremont, California manufacturer of OEM products for the computer and semiconductor industries – it presently markets, has in development, or has contracted to acquire products that perform diagnostic and analytical functions and handle surge protection, ceramic metallisation applications and efficient power conversion – got its initial public offering of 1.1m units, each of two shares and one share warrant, away at $7 per unit. At closing, Oryx will acquire assets of the power conversion products group of Zenith Electronics Corp. J W Charles/CSG, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida is the managing underwriter.
