Comcast UK Cable Partners Ltd, the UK subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Comcast Corp is going public over there rather than over here, and has filed with the US Securities & Exchange Commission to offer 11.75m shares of Class A common stock at a target price of between $16 and $18 per share. Proceeds will pay for capital expansion, acquisitions and working capital. Comcast UK Cable builds and operates cable television, residential telephone and business telecommunications systems here in the UK, and has interests in Birmingham, Northern London and Cambridge. Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp and Goldman, Sachs & Co will co-manage the US offering. S G Warburg Securities Ltd and Cazenove & Co join for the international end.
