Fujitsu Ltd raised the equivalent of $1.150m with three bond issues, $285m of a six-year 3.025% issue due May 2002 offered at par through International Bank of Japan; $285m of a seven-year 3.225% issue due May 2003 at par through Nikko Securities; and $570m of a five-year 2.825% issue due May 2001 at par, for which DKB Securities was the lead manager.

Philips Electronics NV filed a shelf registration with the US Securities & Exchange Commission covering up to $1,000m in debt securities. The Eindhovener intends to draw on the filing over time to raise cash to repay debt and for working capital.

Vodafone Group Plc raised 250m British pounds before expenses with an issue of 7.875% bonds due November 2001 and rated A+ by Standard & Poor’s Corp. Lead manager for the issue was the Union Bank of Switzerland.
