Ascend Communications Inc, Alameda, California developer of digital wide-area network access products, has filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission to go public with an initial offer of 2m shares, 1.88m of them new, at a target price of between $11 and $13 a time. The underwriting is being managed by Morgan Stanley & Co, Robertson Stephens & Co LP, and Wessels, Arnold & Henderson.
