Ancor Communications Inc, Minneapolis developer of Fibre Channel local area communications switches, adaptors and application specific integrated circuits, got its initial public offering of 2m shares, all new, away at $4.25 a share. Net proceeds of $8m or so will be used for debt reduction, research and development and additional working capital. The company did not name underwriters.
