Firefox Communications Inc, the company that started life in Solihull in the English West Midlands, but has now decamped to San Jose with its communications and remote access software for NetWare and the Internet, is a big beneficiary of all the hype surrounding the Internet, getting its offer of 2.3m shares, 1.6m of them new, away at $18.00 per share, way up on the target range of $10 to $12 and valuing it at some $120m, perhaps six times the valuation it could have expected in a London flotation.The underwriters were Robertson, Stephens and Co LP, Montgomery Securities Inc and Cowen & Co.
