LSI Logic Corp, Milpitas filed to offer 2.75m shares, all new, to raise some $125m or so to strengthen its financial position further and to provide it with additional resources for capital expenditures and working capital. The underwriers will be Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs & Co, Montgomery Securities and Prudential Securities Inc.
Concentra Corp, the Cambridge, Massachusetts engineering design software company formerly called ICAD Inc, got its initial public offering of 2.6m shares away at $12 a share, and says net proceeds will be used for working capital, repayment of debt and possible acquisitions. The offering was managed by Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp, Volpe, Welty & Co and SoundView Financial Group Inc.
