Mobile Telecommunications Technologies Corp, Jackson, Missippi has filed with the US Securities & Exchange Commission to offer senior subordinated discount notes due 2002 to raise $169m, $146m to be used to fund capital expenditures, development and construction costs and initial working capital requirements related to the Destineer Network, with the rest to be used to fund further development of SkyTel and for working capital. Underwriters for the notes issue are Bear, Stearns, & Co Inc, Alex Brown & Sons Inc and J P Morgan Securities Inc. Cap Gemini Sogeti SA yesterday raised the equivalent of $190m with FFr995m of 8.6% bonds due December 19 1999 in Paris. Managers for the offering are Credit Lyonnais and Banque Indosuez.
