SGI PARADES PARTNERS FOR INTERNET SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

By CBR Staff Writer

Silicon Graphics Inc, as part of its continuing effort to win back credibility, lined up a host of partners on the first day of ISPCon in San Jose, California yesterday to announce a strategy targeting ISPs and firms with very high-volume web sites. The partners include Computer Associates, Inktomi, Network Associates, Netscape, Oracle and RealNetworks, among others, though it was not clear last night how many of these were actually new to SGI. The companies will work together to deploy their software and services, optimized for SGI’s hardware. The emphasis of the announcement was placed on SGI’s professional services division.
