ServInt introduces new Managed Enterprise Dedicated Servers

Offers off-server backup and scalability by facilitating movement of server content from one hardware environment to another

By CBR Staff Writer

ServInt, a provider of managed web hosting for businesses, has introduced a new line of Managed Enterprise Dedicated Server offerings which provide companies with web-hosting and application-hosting requirements.

The company claims that the servers are suitable for established e-commerce sites, resellers and mid-size companies and complements Virtual Private Server (VPS) offerings.

Accroding to ServInt, the new Managed Enterprise Dedicated Servers incorporate a virtualisation layer, which enables off-server backup and scalability by facilitating movement of server content from one hardware environment to another.

In addition, the new servers also increases redundancy, as the server can rebuild in case of hardware failure. While the virtualisation layer uses Parallels Virtuozzo Containers as an engine, ServInt’s proprietary methodology for hosting and managing dynamic servers ensures the highest server density, performance and availability, the company claims.

Reed Caldwell, founder and chief executive officer of ServInt, said: “Customers with moderate hosting requirements still can benefit from the high-performance and redundancy of our award-winning VPS solutions. Now, customers who are ready to go solo with a powerful dedicated server can choose from a wide range of ServInt Managed Enterprise Dedicated Servers to meet their specific needs.”
