Marlborough, Massachusetts-based Sequoia Systems Inc has inaugurated a Sequoia Support Network with first-in-the-industry capabilities to detect instantaneously and automatically respond to system errors at customer sites, no matter where in the world they are located: the centre of the network consists of a dedicated Sequoia System 400 running Sequoia Automatic Fault Evaluation software at the company’s Marlborough headquarters and uses X25 and the UUCP Unix-to-Unix Communications Protocol to link several hundred Sequoia systems located in 31 states and 15 countries worldwide, including Eastern Europe and Russia; when something happens, the customer’s system generates an electronic fault report to the Sequoia system which uses rule-based artificial intelligence to initiate diagnostic and corrective steps and notify personnel.
