The Paris, France company received $24m in a Series C round in July from investors such as Kennet Venture Partners, and Add Partners, Cap Decisif, T-Source, SG Asset Management and Vision Capital. Prior to that in February 2005, it received $9m in a Series B round from Add Partners and Vision Capital.

Now, Motorola Ventures has made an undisclosed addition to the Series C round.

Sequans’ supplies and develops both fixed and mobile WiMAX chips, and has been heavily involved with the development of IEEE 802.16 standards and WiMAX Forum activities. It recently announced the general availability of its mobile WiMAX chip for client devices.
