Sense8 Corp, fleshing out its plans for entering the training and simulation market (CI No 3,198), is planning a fourth-quarter 1997 release of a new tool, code-named Pangea, which will enable developers to create multi-user 3D/virtual reality simulation applications for deployment on the internet or intranets. The company says Pangea has been designed specifically for the business community and will help in developing videoconferencing and training applications. Pangea will support Windows NT, Silicon Graphics and Sun platforms. Features include secure firewall traversal and a client/server networking model allowing for efficient internet deployment.
