SEMA GROUP CREATES NEW SEMA GROUP CONSULTING OUT OF TWO EXISTING UNITS

By CBR Staff Writer

Sema Group Plc is ramping up its UK operations with the establishment of a new consultancy, Sema Group Consulting. It will be operational from January next year, and comprises the Cambridge-based Baddeley Associates, which specialises in change management, and Sema’s Information Consulting Division which designs information systems strategies. The new arm will employ 60 staff initially, and Sema says that it will build on an existing customer base that includes Barclays Bank Plc and Pearson Plc’s Penguin Books. Sema Group Consulting is to be headed by Nick Griffin as managing director and Keith Gathergood as chairman; Gathergood is also the managing director of Sema Group Systems Ltd.
