According to Palladium Group, the Pace system will provide an integrated planning and modeling environment for Selfridges to help drive improvements in inventory management, margins and costs throughout the organization.

Highly configurable and scalable, Pace is reportedly designed to support diverse planning activities, spanning from operations and finance through to merchandising. Pace allows multiple planning functions to be executed inside one continuous and integrated environment without any systemic barriers to the user.

Tony Bennett, head of planning and analysis at Selfridges, said: With the Pace Planning solution, we will have a flexible planning system that closely follows our business process requirements plus still takes advantage of our strategic investment in the Oracle/Hyperion platform.

The Pace system will help us with more timely and accurate merchandise plans, but in addition to merchandise planning, we also look forward to extending Pace to other areas in the organization, such as payroll and labor planning.
