SEGA CLAIMS HOLOGRAPHIC FIRST WITH VIDEO GAME

By CBR Staff Writer

Sega Enterprises Inc claims to have introduced the world’s first holographic video game: the three-dimensional live action game, called Hologram Time Traveller, creates hologram-like images that appear to be suspended in free space – the arcade game appears on a theatre-like stage and players can reach out to put their hands through the images and delivers the look and feel of a hologram without the expense; they are not true holograms these would be viewable from every conceivable angle, without the need for a darkened stage – and would also be prohibitively costly to create for a consumer product.
