SEGA CHOOSES GI AND SCIENTIFIC-ATLANTA FOR US CABLE

Sega Enterprises Ltd’s the Sega Channel in the US has chosen General Instrument Corp and Scientific-Atlanta Inc to provide the technology to deliver video games on demand to US cable households in the summer of 1994: the two will provide cable television in-home adaptors and head-end equipment; Sega Channel partners Time Warner Inc and Tele-Communications Inc have guaranteed each developer an order for 250,000 of the new adaptors.
