Seems it was the Data General Corp board that decided it was time for Ed de Castro to hang up his bits and bytes: he is quoted as saying I feel disappointed but I recognise that the board runs the company and their wishes have to prevail – I am leaving on an amicable basis; we haven’t heard the last of him because he says he is ready to get back to work and is going to be looking for exciting new opportunities in the computer industry.
