Security Dynamics Inc and its wholly owned subsidiary RSA Data Security have finally revamped and simplified their joint corporate identity. The company’s new name, RSA Security Inc, is intended to reflect the unified expertise of the organization. Product lines have been streamlined into three core disciplines of e-security – authentication, encryption and public key infrastructure. The SecurID product family handles strong authentication, BSAFE covers most encryption needs and the staged launch of the Keon public key infrastructure, which began in January 1999, is now complete. Security Dynamics’ Chuck Stuckey is CEO and chairman of the new company while RSA Data Security’s Jim Bidzos is vice chairman. Art Coviello is president and is responsible for operations of the entire organization.
