Independent IT integrator SecureData has launched its Affinity suite of encrypted cloud storage gateway services, as part of the company’s new cloud security practice.
The company claims that customers will now be able to reap the cost-saving and flexibility benefits of public cloud services without sacrificing manageability and security by utilising the two new affinity services.
AffinityCloudEncrypt features a key management server allowing physical and virtual servers hosted in both public and private clouds to encrypt all data to improve cloud security.
The service allows customers to utilize cost-effective public virtualised servers while ensuring potentially sensitive data cannot be compromised, addresses compliance issues for data life cycle within public cloud providers, and seamlessly deploys services from any number of cloud providers.
AffinityCloudStorage optimises hybrid cloud deployments and features automated storage tiering that increases cost savings by ensuring only archive data is stored in the cloud while frequently accessed data remains onsite, the company said.
The cloud service reduces cloud storage costs, enables clients to meet compliance requirements with intelligent tiering, and offers simple management of cloud and onsite storage with a web-based interface.
SecureData professional services director Etienne Greeff said their Affinity services allow businesses to take advantage of cost-effective scalability and flexibility of cloud computing while ensuring sensitive data is kept independent and secure within mixed trust environments.
