SECRETARY’S OPPORTUNITY 2000 AWARD TO IBM

Calling IBM a leader in understanding and responding to the changing needs and demographics of the work force, US Secretary of Labor Ann McLaughlin last week presented the department’s inaugural Secretary’s Opportunity 2000 Award to IBM: speaking at a special award ceremony in Washington DC, she praised IBM’s practices as being worthy of emulation by US companies if they are to be competitive in 2000.
