Commodore International Ltd may be dead and gone, but the software written for the old Commodore 64 8-bit games machine is being kept alive thanks to Kirkland, Washington-based Seattle Lab Inc. The company is primarily a provider of system and data administration tools for Microsoft Corp’s Windows NT but also offers C64S, a Commodore 64 Emulator which runs on iAPX-86-based computers under MS-DOS. The company reckons there are still more games available for the 64 than for any other machine, and says it is seeing growing demand for the emulator. The software is shipped with a 1541/71 floppy adaptor cable and software manual. It needs a 512Kb 80486, VGA display and MS-DOS 3.0 and up. It costs at $70, plus $5 postage for people outside North America.
