Seagate Technology plans to open a facility for its Seagate Magnetics subsidiary in Watsonville, California: the 207,000 square foot building, put up by Seagate in May 1983, will be used to manufacture thin film media for use in the com-pany’s Winchesters, providing extra capacity from spring 1988 – the Fremont plant is fully stretched.
